Research compared with the burden of each cancer

For each cancer, its share of recent research (PubMed records published 2021–2025) is set against its share of the world’s cancer deaths and new cases in 2024.

Burden is one reason among many to study a cancer — survival, curability, how many people live with it and scientific opportunity matter too. A low ratio describes where attention goes; it does not say how much research a cancer should get.
